UFC and M-1 Global to Announce Lesnar vs Fedor in Fall Exhibition Fight

Ray Noorda, the former Chairman for Novell, Inc. once said: “Cause change and lead, accept change and survive, resist change and die.”

These profound words were never truer than in today’s realm of Mixed-martial Arts.

According to underground sources, the Fertitta brothers were finally able to do something that Dana White could not—verbally agree to legal partnering terms with M-1 Global, which would finally give all MMA fans around the world exactly what they have been desperately waiting for.

Brock Lesnar, the current UFC Heavyweight Champion will take on none other than the current WAMMA World Heavyweight Champion, Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko in a five-round, non-title exhibition fight.

This bout will be scheduled to take place in beautiful Johannesburg, South Africa sometime in late Fall 2010 and will happen regardless of the outcomes between Lesnar’s upcoming title defence against Shane Carwin at UFC 116, and Fedor’s upcoming title defence against Fabricio Werdum on April 17, 2010.

Lesnar vs Fedor will be promoted under a third-party banner and not as a UFC or M-1 Global sanctioned event.

For M-1 Global, the time has finally come to accept their destiny and to prove to the world, once and for all, that Fedor is the greatest heavyweight fighter of all time (or so they hope).

Neither M-1 Global President, Vadim Finkelstein, or UFC President, Dana White could be reached for comment.

Sources have advised that this bout is expected to remain in denial until an official public announcement can be made and all formal documentation can be signed.

Fans have been clamouring for this fight for so long. Now that it’s actually going to happen, it’s almost too surreal to believe.

Since we’re waiting…I wonder who’s gonna win?

In late Fall? Why should Fedor bother? Carwin will chew Lestard up. Brock will be, at best, 4-2 by the time his fat mouth blocks Fedor's fists. But none of that really matters except in terms of Lestard's marketability by then. Smart money goes to Fedor, easily against this loud-mouthed, one-dimensional wrestler who can't kick (either high or low), can't throw more than two stand-up punch combinations, or even think of trying a submission hold on anyone–including their grandmothers.

If anything, it should be Fedor vs. Carwin, two undefeated* fighters with real tools in their arsenal.
